El Skate Festival de Cine de Los Angeles comenzó con un hecho muy simple. Most of the countries in the Western world have at least one film festival. La mayoría de los países en el mundo occidental tiene al menos un festival de cine. France has the Cannes Film Festival, Italy has the Venice Film Festival, the US has many amongst which you all know the famous Sundance Film Festival. Francia cuenta con el Cannes Film Festival, Italia tiene el Festival de Cine de Venecia, los EE.UU. tiene muchas entre las que todos ustedes saben el famoso Festival de Cine Sundance.
